How to Use VCI Hand Wrap Film
For optimal performance, ensure all metal parts are completely clean, dry, and free from existing corrosion before wrapping. Always make sure the products are at room temperature, as temperature differences between the metal and the environment can cause condensation, increasing the risk of corrosion. Avoid direct contact between metals and materials that may promote rust, such as wood. When wrapping pallets, it is recommended to place a layer of VCI material between the wooden pallet and the metal items.
During wrapping, apply the film with the VCI-active inner side facing the metal so the protective vapors can circulate inside the wrapping. Wrap in consistent, overlapping layers to create a fully enclosed protection zone. After transport or storage, allow the products to return to room temperature before unwrapping to prevent condensation. Once unwrapped, the VCI protective layer evaporates within minutes, and the items are immediately ready for use. Wearing gloves is recommended when handling VCI materials.
